Tire Recycling

Service provided May of each year to help properly dispose of tires at a reasonable rate. At registration, a time will be given to drop tires off at the Miami County Fairgrounds. Cost for tires 17 inches and less at the rim are currently at a cost of $2 per tire, semi or specialty tires are currently at the cost of $5 per tire, and tractor tires are at the cost of $8 per tire. On the drop off day, help unloading tires comes from Miami East FFA students, a BOBCAT courtesy of the Miami County Ag Society and supervision from Kelbley Transport of Tiffin, owners of the semis that collect the tires for recycling. A second tire recycling day may be held in September if Miami SWCD is able to receive a grant.

Sponsored by:  Miami SWCD, Miami County Commissioners, Miami County Solid Waste District, Miami East FFA, Miami County Ag Society, and Kelbley Transport
