Little Bluestem “The Blues” (Schizachyrium Scoparium) is an attractive, hardy ornamental with enhanced bluish tint, blooming purple in July/August. It can be used as a bordering plant due to its spread and can provide some shade for other plants, cover for wildlife and some privacy. It can spread aggressively if planted in the wrong location. Prone to forming clumps that can be separated. Lovely fall coloring.
