GRANT DAVIS
Grant and his wife Stephanie and their three daughters, Brynn (10), Maren (6) and Reagan (5) reside in Lost Creek Township on Sodom-Ballou Road.
Grant started his career in agriculture in 2007 with beef cattle and ventured into row crops around 2013, currently working about 600 acres. He is also active in Farm Bureau, works part-time with OSU-Extension and has recently been elected to the County Board for Pioneer Electric. He and his wife Stephanie are both Deacons at their church, Lostcreek United Church of Christ.
Asked why he’d like to serve as a Miami SWCD Supervisor, Grant responded that he’d like to know more about what Soil and Water Conservation Districts do and how they can help the farmer. Plus, he added, he’s always been one to be involved and is interested in many things.

DONALD HIEGEL
Don has been an SWCD Supervisor since 2016. Don lives in Elizabeth Township on East State Route 41 on property his family has owned since 1918 and is now listed as a Century Farm. Having farmed himself for nearly 60 years, he considers himself retired but continues with what he calls “gofer” work, helping his son, son-in-law and grandson work around 1600 acres. He has 2 children, 6 grandkids and 7 great grandkids.
When asked why he’d like to continue as Supervisor, he responded that he remains interested in conservation and he likes to be active in the farming community.
